Through this collaboration, the two institutions seek to contribute to the development of skilled human capital and support Malawi’s socio-economic growth.

Speaking during the ceremony, the RFA Chief Executive Officer, Stewart Malata indicated that the commitments should not just be words on paper. They are promises of action. The Roads Fund Administration will open its doors, its data, and its expertise to UNIMA, while UNIMA will bring its research, its students, and its intellectual capital to the Roads Fund. The institutions will co-develop systems, pilot new technologies, and mentor the next generation of innovators. Therefore, this partnership is about creating a thriving ecosystem where knowledge meets practice, where ideas submitted by employees through the idea submission portal meet opportunity, and where innovation meets impact. It is also about ensuring that the solutions we develop are not only scientifically sound but also practical, affordable, and sustainable. On the other hand the University of Malawi’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Mkali Idrus Sajidu expressed with confidence that the partnership creates a mechanism through which RFA can present real operational challenges to UNIMA students, while UNIMA can mobilise student talent to develop practical, affordable and locally appropriate solutions.

ROADS FUND ADMINISTRATION AND UNIVERSITY OF MALAWI FORGE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP- SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING The Roads Fund Administration (RFA) and the University of Malawi (UNIMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening industrial and academic collaboration for the mutual benefit of the two institutions

[89
103,104,102
